Few of us expect to have our legs amputated, especially at the very young age of 21. Unfortunately for Angela, this was almost a reality after an arteriogram revealed significant blockage in both her right and left legs. Her doctor said there was nothing more he could do, and that an amputation was all but inevitable.
Despite the seemingly hopeless picture painted by her doctor, Angela and her family didn’t give up. For her, an amputation would prevent her from providing for her son, Kevin, who was still very young at the time.
On the day before Angela’s leg was scheduled to be amputated, her mom intervened. They decided to put the surgery on hold and seek help from an interventional cardiologist. For more of Angela’s story, watch the video below:
